2021-2022 School Year
The Canastota Central School District is preparing for Kindergarten Registration for the 2021-22 school year. All resident students born on or before December 1, 2016 are eligible to register for Kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year. Per Board of Education Policy, children must be five years old on or before December 1, 2021 to qualify.
Due to the pandemic, Kindergarten Registration will be completed by mail or drop-off this year. Registration packets may be mailed home by calling the District Registrar, Amanda Snyder, at (315) 697-6326. Packets can also be picked up in the main office at Peterboro Street Elementary School between 8am - 4pm on days school is in session. Registration information may also be downloaded using the link to the right. Packets will be sent home to all current Pre-K parents on/about February 5th.
Completed packets should be dropped off at or mailed to Peterboro Street Elementary School at 220 North Peterboro Street, Canastota, NY 13032 by Friday, March 5th. We will contact parents to schedule Kindergarten Screening appointments once registration information has been submitted and processed.
Kindergarten Screening will tentatively take place May 3rd – 7th at PSES.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ms. Jennifer L. Carnahan, Principal, at Peterboro Street Elementary School at 697-2027.
