Principal's Message

My name is Robert Carter, the new principal of the Canastota High School. I cannot fully exclaim how excited I am to have the privilege of leading this wonderful school in this great community.  

High school is a time of growth, exploration, and opportunity. Here, students can engage in rigorous academic courses, participate in enriching extracurricular activities, and explore their interests through athletics, arts, and clubs. Whether it’s through advanced coursework, hands-on learning, leadership opportunities, or community service, we are committed to providing every student with the tools and support they need to succeed and be the fullest versions of themselves that they can be. 

We believe in fostering a culture of respect, responsibility, and resilience. Our dedicated faculty and staff work hard to create an environment where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their highest potential.

We encourage all students to take advantage of the many opportunities available—try something new, take a challenge, and get involved. Your high school years will shape your future, and we are excited to walk this journey with you.  In the wonderful words of Eleanor Roosevelt, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
