Canastota Central School District would like to sincerely thank Canastota Police Chief Sean Barton, Officer Dailey, Deputy Clarke, and Trooper Sgarlate for their surprise visit to an exceptional student at CCSD.
Dixie, a 7th-grader at CCSD, was recently featured on our "When I Grow Up" initiative and was the lucky recipient of this visit. When local law enforcement saw our Facebook post, they were inspired to reach out to Dixie. As Canastota CSD alums, they wanted her to know she could achieve her dream of becoming a police officer, just like they did! Dixie received some special souvenirs as well as a delicious lunch.
Canastota CSD would like to express its gratitude to Chief Barton, Officer Dailey, Deputy Clarke, and Trooper Sgarlate for taking the time to visit Dixie at school. Their visit was an excellent gesture that undoubtedly inspired many. Once again, we thank them for their support and kindness!
