Dorsey Levens visited our MOBOCES Sports Management

Former professional football player Dorsey Levens visited our MOBOCES Sports Management and Entertainment Marketing and Exercise Science classes held at CCSD. Dorsey was a running back in the NFL, primarily playing for the Green Bay Packers, as well as the Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants. Throughout his career, he rushed for 4955 yards and scored 36 rushing touchdowns, appeared in three Superbowls, and won one. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1997 season. Prior to his professional career, he played college football for Notre Dame and Georgia Tech.

During his visit to Canastota, he spoke with students about his career and the obstacles he had to overcome through persistence and hard work. He also talked about his advocacy for CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) and NFL concussion awareness. Dorsey is now an entrepreneur who focuses on active mindset, aerobic and cycling training, and strongly advocates for concussion protocol.

We thank Mr. Levens for educating our students on this important topic!
