Students Against Destructive Decisions - Grim Reaper Day

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) conducted Grim Reaper Day to raise awareness of destructive decision-related accidents. During the event, a student dressed as the Grim Reaper, wearing all black, symbolically took the lives of other students who acted as victims of destructive decisions. These students had their faces painted white and were given a t-shirt describing what destructive decision led to their passing. Some of those decisions included a gang-related incident, driving at an excessive speed, a pipebomb explosion, not wearing a seatbelt, and an illegal substance overdose. They were also not allowed to speak for the rest of the day.

The purpose of Grim Reaper Day is to remind us that we should not let alcohol, drugs, or any other destructive decisions cause unnecessary tragedies. It is important to be responsible and make smart choices to keep ourselves and others safe.
